The Crown & Anchor has stood on the green in Millbrook for well over a century, but it's been in the Whitlock family for three generations — since Ted and Marion Whitlock took over the tenancy in 1988. These days it's their granddaughter Alice running the bar, with the same rules as always: a well-kept pint, an honest plate of food, and a fire that gets lit the moment the first cold snap hits.
We're proud to be a proper local — the kind of pub where the regulars have their own corner, the dog gets a biscuit at the bar, and the Sunday roast is the reason half the village doesn't bother cooking. Come for a quiet pint by the fire or a long lunch in the garden; either way, you're welcome.
